The last few days of Summer!

We are getting ready for a quick trip to New York City. Dave has to be there for work so me and the kids (excluding Andy) decided to join him for three days. Hopefully, I don't get us lost in the big city! Wish us luck! I will post some pictures when we get back! One more quick note, this picture is of Kassi and her friend Carter. He passed away exactly one year ago today. We miss you Carter!

Connor's Party

This past weekend we finally had Connor's birthday party. Better late than never! It seemed like everyone had fun. We had kids games, pinata, sponge race, balloon toss and the limbo. Even the adults did the limbo which was allot of fun. (don't worry I won't post any pictures of the adults doing the limbo)

Less than a month til school. I'm not looking forward to it. I'm not looking forward to the cold days walking to the bus stop either. It just seems like such a long cold winter. We do like to sled ride and we love christmas but other than that I wish summer was all year. Maybe I'll win the lottery and move to Florida or Hawaii and get the kids a tutor. Ok i'll stop dreaming!

We're back!

The beach was nice! The weather was great! The kids had a fun, but I'm glad to be home! There's nothing like sleeping in your own bed. I told the kids that their summer was half way over. School would be here before you know it! They didn't want to hear it. Soon we will be school shopping. I know I'm such a party pooper to bring up school in the middle of July! I just can't believe it's already July 21st! Anyways, we are home. No more vacations planned - how depressing. Have a wonderful week!

Happy Birthday Connor!

Happy 6th Birthday Connor! I can't believe my baby is already 6 years old! Time sure is flying by! Connor- Your such a sweet boy! I love you tons! I'm so proud of you! Love Mommy!

Fun Days!

The kids are enjoying the lazy days of summer! Who would of thought how much fun they would have w/the hose! They were acting pretty silly! We leave on Connor's 6th birthday (Saturday) for Myrtle Beach! Hopefully, no hurricane or tropical storms ruin our vacation! There is a tropical storm way out in sea! We will keep our fingers crossed!

Summer Days!

The kids been out of school for a week now! We have been to the wave pool only once so far! The picture was taken a few weeks ago at our friends lake house in Mercer, PA. They absolutely loved it! It was too cold to go into the water.

This week has been nothing but dr's appt. I schedule a drs appt for Kassi because she has dry skin on her one arm but they day before her appt. she hurt her toe falling off the balance beam. I figured while we were there the dr could look at it. It turns out she broke her big right toe!

Connor has been playing w/Justin and Tyler. Climbing trees, playing in the dirt and riding bikes. It so nice to have my nephews only three doors away!

Summer is almost here!

I can't believe it's been almost a month since my last post. We have been pretty busy! School is almost out! Only 6 1/2 days left! The kids are very excited. I'm looking forward to it too. I have some pictures to add later of Kassi at soccer, Connor at t-ball and Andy going to the prom.

Kassi has her second grade send off on Friday. I can't believe she will be moving to the intermediate school already. I'm volunteering to scoop ice-cream for her party. That should be fun!

Connor had a great year in kindergarten. I was worried that maybe he wasn't ready but he proved me wrong. I remember the first day of school. I was devastated that my baby boy was gone all day. I cried at the bus stop when he left! I was sad when Kassi started school but I had Connor to keep me busy so it didn't hit me as hard. I know my sister is going to be a basket case when my youngest nephew, Ty, goes in the fall. It wouldn't be so bad if it was only a 1/2 day but it's all day! They leave around 8:20 and don't get home until almost 4:00. And the kids on the bus are really bad. The first week of school Connor got off crying. Someone punched him in the face. I was furious! I called the school but they already knew about the situation and the kid was already in trouble. I worry about them everyday.

We have lots planned for the summer already! Myrtle Beach, the wave pool, the zoo, Kennywood and maybe Idlewild too!
